Rauno Tegelmann
Frontend technical lead at XYB, a fintech in Tallinn, Estonia. I lead frontend architecture, build products end to end, and care about how software feels to use and to work on.
Work
XYB is rebuilding financial infrastructure from scratch, and I run the frontend side of it: the architecture, micro-frontends shared across teams, the component library, and the tooling that keeps everyone shipping. I sit closest to design and product, and I like being in the room from the first sketch to the release.
Over the years that has meant leading frontend architecture on large fintech platforms, designing shared UI platforms used by several teams, and quietly removing friction so people can move faster. When I build on my own I go end to end: design, data model, API, interface, deployment.
Side projects
Mosaic is a portfolio tracker for people whose investments are spread across too many apps. One clear view instead of five logins.
Plex Rewind is an open-source statistics dashboard for Plex servers. It has 500,000+ downloads and a community of users and contributors who keep it going.
Loose Grace is my band.
Lately
Mostly React and React Native. Thinking about how AI changes the way small teams ship, and leaning on it heavily in my own work. Trying to design more of what I build, and to build more of what I design.
